Sweet Home Panthers (Amherst, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting East Aurora Blue Devils (East Aurora, NY), 43-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sweet Home upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to Salamanca (Salamanca, NY) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 23. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Lancaster Legends (Lancaster, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. East Aurora will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Legends go into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 70-66 non-league win over Cardinal O'Hara (Tonawanda, NY).
