    The Grapeland Sandies basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Marlin Bulldogs to 51 in the Sandies non-league victory on Thursday.

    The Sandies now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tatum for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Grapeland will battle a Eagles team coming off a 57-51 non-league loss to Marlin (Marlin, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-4.

    The Bulldogs (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Tatum (Tatum, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Tatum dropped by La Porte (La Porte, TX), 80-72, in a non-league contest.
