The South Dade Buccaneers (Homestead, FL) basketball knocked off the host Southwest Eagles (Miami, FL), 54-38 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Buccaneers (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Coral Gables (Coral Gables, FL). The Cavaliers go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Coral Gables notched a victory over Sports Leadership & Management (Miami, FL), 46-44, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Varela for a 6A District 16 test on Tuesday, December 19. Southwest will encounter a Vipers squad coming off a 67-53 non-league loss to Sunset (Miami, FL). The Vipers record now stands at 2-5.
