The St. Mary's Hawks basketball team (Remsen, IA), dropped 56-38 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA)
The Wildcats now possess a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boyden-Hull for a Siouxland battle on Friday, December 15. West Lyon will confront a Comets team coming off a 80-70 league loss to Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA). The Comets record now stands at 1-3.
The Hawks (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hinton (Hinton, IA). The Blackhawks come into the War Eagle battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Hinton beat Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA), 47-43, in a league battle.
