The Cherokee Chiefs basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Winslow Township Eagles to 37 in the Chiefs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Chiefs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Thomas Aquinas for a non-league contest on Sunday, December 17.
The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Eustace Prep (Pennsauken, NJ). The Crusaders come into the Olympic - National contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Bishop Eustace Prep was defeated by Lenape (Medford, NJ), 56-23, in a non-league contest.
