West Virginia High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge nips Hampshire

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the host Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV), saw Mountain Ridge's basketball squad hold off Hampshire by a tally of 42-35.
With the victory, Mountain Ridge improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Miners host Shalom Christian Academy (Chambersburg, PA) to play the Flames in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Flames come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.
Next up, the Trojans play the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Hampshire will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
