The North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] Eagles basketball team (Walhalla, ND), was nudged 66-64 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Hatton/Northwood Thunder (Northwood, ND)
The Thunder now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] for a B District 4 battle on Wednesday, December 27. Hatton/Northwood will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 65-56 non-league loss to Langdon/Edmore/Munich (Langdon, ND). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-3.
The Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Larimore (Larimore, ND). The Polar Bears come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Larimore was nudged by Cavalier (Cavalier, ND), 36-33, in a non-league battle.
