South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Knox Central Panthers (Barbourville, KY), 72-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Laurel upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Menifee County lost 51-46 in their recent non-league bout against Breathitt County (Jackson, KY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Knox Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Tomcats go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 68-18 non-league win over Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY).
