Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Trinity Chargers (Midland, TX), 26-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sanderson upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Eagles host Grandfalls-Royalty (Grandfalls, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 1A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, December 15. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Chargers play the Midland Christian Mustangs (Midland, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Trinity will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 59-39 non-league loss to Lubbock Christian (Lubbock, TX).
