Walthill Blujays (Walthill, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Siouxland Christian Eagles (Sioux City, IA), 1-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walthill upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Blujays travel to Hartington-Newcastle (Hartington, NE) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Hartington-Newcastle won 51-35 in their recent non-league bout against Tri County Northeast (Emerson, NE)

Next up, the Eagles play the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers (Storm Lake, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Siouxland Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 62-23 non-league loss to Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA).
