Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X Panthers (Houston, TX) and the host St. John XXIII Lions (Katy, TX), saw St. Pius X's basketball squad hold off St. John XXIII by a tally of 46-40.
With the victory, St. Pius X improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cypress Christian (Houston, TX) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Cypress Christian lost 58-32 in their recent non-league challenge against FBCHA (Richmond, TX)
Next up, the Lions confront the Incarnate Word Academy Falcons (Houston, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. St. John XXIII will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 36-28 non-league win over Fort Bend Christian Academy (Sugar Land, TX).
