Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC), 60-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Western Alamance upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Warriors host Cedar Ridge (Hillsborough, NC) to clash with the Fighting Red Wolves in a bout on Friday, December 15. The Fighting Red Wolves go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Cedar Ridge won 50-30 in their recent non-league bout against Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC)

Next up, the Buccaneers clash with the North Moore Mustangs (Robbins, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Bartlett Yancey will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 56-40 non-league loss to Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC).
