In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Wellington Crusaders basketball team scored a good 73-57 triumph over the Chaparral Roadrunners.
The Crusaders (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Collegiate (Wichita, KS). The Spartans go into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail IV contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Collegiate topped Labette County (Altamont, KS), 80-34, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Roadrunners confront the Medicine Lodge Indians (Medicine Lodge, KS) in a Central Plains contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Chaparral will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 77-38 non-league win over Skyline (Pratt, KS).
