The Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) basketball edged the visiting Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), 54-51 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Thunderbolts now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Classical for a Division 1 bout on Monday, December 16. Cranston East will play a Purple team coming off a 51-49 league loss to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI). The Purple record now stands at 0-1.
