Georgia High School Basketball - Rutland can't get by Crisp County

December 14, 2024: Macon, GA 31206

Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA), 77-72 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Crisp County advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Cougars host Westover (Albany, GA) to meet the Patriots in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 4-3. Westover won 50-42 in their recent non-league match against Leon (Tallahassee, FL)

The Hurricanes now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northeast for a non-league match on Wednesday, December 18. Rutland will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 79-44 non-league loss to Westside (Macon, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 0-2.
