In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Gainesville Red Elephants basketball team scored a close 60-57 win over the Pinson Valley Indians.

The Red Elephants (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Sandy Creek edged East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA), 66-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Fort Payne Wildcats (Fort Payne, AL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Pinson Valley will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record.
