California High School Basketball - Garces Memorial can't hold off Taft

Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Garces Memorial Rams (Bakersfield, CA), 57-56 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Taft upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Templeton (Templeton, CA) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 4-6. Templeton lost 70-57 in their recent non-league match against Oakdale (Oakdale, CA)

The Rams now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mira Monte for a non-league match on Friday, January 3.
