In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Peabody Warhorses basketball team scored a big 73-42 triumph over the New Iberia Yellowjackets.
The Warhorses (9-0) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Holy Savior Menard was trounced by Pineville (Pineville, LA), 54-29, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets confront the Jeanerette Tigers (Jeanerette, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 16. New Iberia will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 65-39 non-league loss to Loreauville (Loreauville, LA).
