The Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) basketball were winner over the visiting Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles (Concord, CA), 45-32 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Monarchs now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Monte Vista for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. Mt. Eden will play a Mustangs team coming off a 45-30 non-league win over Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Clayton Valley Charter falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Ugly eagles host Milpitas (Milpitas, CA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Milpitas lost 57-33 in their recent non-league bout against Cornerstone Christian (Antioch, CA)
