The Simley Spartans nipped the visiting Albert Lea Tigers basketball squad by a final score of 41-40 in Saturday's non-league outing.
Next, the Spartans face the Two Rivers Warriors (Mendota Heights, MN) in a AAA Section 3 outing, on Wednesday, December 18. Simley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Warriors enter the outing with a 5-2 record after their 74-47 non-league win over Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN).
The Tigers (1-7) will now prepare for their outing against John Marshall (Rochester, MN). The Rockets enter the AAAA Section 1 outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, John Marshall got by Mankato East (Mankato, MN), 57-20, in a non-league outing.
