Georgia High School Basketball - Alcovy can't hold off Carver

Carver Panthers (Atlanta, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA), 46-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Carver upgrades its record to 6-5 on the year. The Panthers host McNair (Atlanta, GA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 2-7.

The Tigers now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winder-Barrow for a AAAAA Region 8 match on Tuesday, December 17. Alcovy will face a Bulldoggs squad coming off a 56-38 non-league win over Monroe Area (Monroe, GA). The Bulldoggs record now stands at 4-6.
