North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County overwhelms Harnett Central

December 14, 2024: Angier, NC 27501

The Avery County Vikings basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Harnett Central Trojans to 19 in the Vikings non-league win on Saturday.

The Vikings (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Tigers come into the 1A/2A Western Highlands challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Rosman trounced Summit Charter (Cashiers, NC), 35-28, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Terry Sanford Bulldogs (Fayetteville, NC) in a 3A/4A All-American challenge, on Friday, January 3. Harnett Central will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record.
