St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) fans went home pleased Saturday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the visiting Grandview Prep Pride (Boca Raton, FL), 59-26 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Virginia Academy (Ashburn, VA). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Virginia Academy was routed by Western Reserve Academy (Hudson, OH), 62-38, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pride encounter the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars (Boynton Beach, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Grandview Prep will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 57-48 non-league loss to 1 of 1 Academy (Indian Trail, NC).
