North Carolina High School Basketball - North Buncombe sneaks past Lamar County

The North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) basketball edged the visiting Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA), 53-51 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Black Hawks now possess a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to A.C. Reynolds for a 3A/4A Mountain bout on Tuesday, December 17. North Buncombe will play a Rockets team coming off a 66-31 non-league win over Crest (Shelby, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Lamar County falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Jackson (Jackson, GA) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 17. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Jackson lost 51-35 in their recent non-league bout against Jasper County (Monticello, GA)
