California High School Basketball - Gridley thwarts Central Valley

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) and the host Central Valley Falcons (Shasta Lake, CA), observed Gridley's basketball team knock off Central Valley by a score of 45-28.

The Bulldogs (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Christian Brothers (Sacramento, CA). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Christian Brothers was knocked off by McClatchy (Sacramento, CA), 35-27, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 16. Central Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 31-28 non-league win over Modoc (Alturas, CA).
