The Cypress Centurions basketball team scored 69 points and limited the visiting Newport Harbor Sailors to 57 in the Centurions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Centurions now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Canyon for a game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Newport Harbor falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Sailors travel to Marina (Huntington Beach, CA) to confront the Vikings in a game on Wednesday, December 18. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 5-0. Marina won 47-30 in their recent non-league game against Muir (Pasadena, CA)
