North Carolina High School Basketball - Millbrook can't hold off Independence

Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Millbrook Wildcats (Raleigh, NC), 54-50 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Independence advances its record to 8-0 on the year. The Patriots travel to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to face the Cougars in a match on Friday, December 20. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-1.

The Wildcats now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Broughton for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. Millbrook will face a Capitals squad coming off a 60-46 non-league win over Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Capitals record now stands at 5-0.
