The Padua Franciscan Bruins (Parma, OH) ice hockey held off the visiting Rocky River Pirates (Rocky River, OH), 2-1 in Sunday's non-league outing.
The Bruins now have a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fenwick for a non-league test on Friday, December 19. Padua Franciscan will face a Friars squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Friars record now stands at 2-1.
The Pirates (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Olentangy Orange (Lewis Center, OH). The Pioneers go into the non-league outing with a 3-5 record. In their last outing, Olentangy Orange tipped Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH), 8-1, in a non-league outing.
