Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Avella Eagles (Avella, PA), 57-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mapletown upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Maples host Hundred (Hundred, WV) to confront the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 23. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Burgettstown Blue Devils (Burgettstown, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 22. Avella will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
