Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM), 72-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Deming upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 1-9. Mayfield lost 60-42 in their recent non-league bout against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)

Next up, the Indians play the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Cobre will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 65-54 non-league loss to Tularosa (Tularosa, NM).
