Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) and the visiting Dexter Demons (Dexter, NM), saw Melrose's basketball squad knock off Dexter by a margin of 68-55.
The Buffaloes (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Ruidoso notched a victory over Eunice (Eunice, NM), 56-51, in a non-league test.
The Demons now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Eunice for a non-league test on Friday, December 16. Dexter will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 56-51 non-league loss to Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-3.
