Zalma Bulldogs (Zalma, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Egyptian Pharaohs (Tamms, IL), 50-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Zalma upgrades its record to 1-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host Eagle Ridge Christian (Cape Girardeau, MO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Eagle Ridge Christian lost 71-28 in their recent non-league bout against Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, MO)

Next up, the Pharaohs play the Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL) in a South Egyptian bout, on Friday, December 16. Egyptian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 65-60 league win over Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL).
