Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Yucaipa Thunderbirds (Yucaipa, CA) and the host Palm Springs Indians (Palm Springs, CA), saw Yucaipa's basketball squad hold off Palm Springs by a tally of 39-36.
With the victory, Yucaipa improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Arrowhead Christian (Redlands, CA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Arrowhead Christian lost 69-48 in their recent league challenge against Ontario Christian (Ontario, CA)
Next up, the Indians confront the Santa Fe Chiefs (Santa Fe Springs, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 17. Palm Springs will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 74-54 non-league loss to Workman (City of Industry, CA).
