The Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Huguenot Falcons (Richmond, VA), 42-21 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA). The Monarchs go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Meadowbrook walloped Petersburg (Petersburg, VA), 73-38, in a league test.
The Falcons now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Manchester for a Dominion test on Tuesday, January 3. Huguenot will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 60-39 league win over Cosby (Midlothian, VA). The Lancers record now stands at 5-0.
