The Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) basketball knocked off the host Somonauk/Leland Bobcats (Somonauk, IL), 42-26 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Comets (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Wildcats go into the Illinois Central 8 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Wilmington notched a victory over Dwight (Dwight, IL), 44-40, in a non-league test.
The Bobcats now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Dakota for a non-league test on Saturday, December 17. Somonauk/Leland will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 40-27 non-league win over South Beloit (South Beloit, IL). The Indians record now stands at 3-11.
