Linden Lions (Linden, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Venture Academy Mustangs (Stockton, CA), 55-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Linden upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 16. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Mt. Shasta won 56-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Amador (Sutter Creek, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Lincoln Trojans (Stockton, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Venture Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 54-35 non-league win over Turlock (Turlock, CA).
