Upperman Bees (Baxter, TN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL), 55-19 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Upperman upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bees travel to Umatilla (Umatilla, FL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Umatilla won 65-55 in their recent non-league bout against East Ridge (Clermont, FL)

Next up, the Pirates play the Stanton Blue Devils (Jacksonville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Matanzas will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 58-54 non-league loss to Wolfson (Jacksonville, FL).
