In Friday's non-league outing, the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) basketball squad felled the host Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX), by a margin of 68-55.
The Sandies (17-2) will now prepare for their outing against Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Matadors go into the non-league outing with a 9-4 record.
The Plainsmen now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Abilene for a 5A Region I District 4 outing on Tuesday, December 19. Monterey will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 95-40 non-league win over Brownwood (Brownwood, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 13-4.
