West Virginia High School Basketball - Preston thwarted by Buckhannon-Upshur

The Preston Knights basketball team (Kingwood, WV), dropped 58-42 in Friday's league battle with the host Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV)

The Buccaneers now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lewis County for a Big Ten battle on Monday, December 18. Buckhannon-Upshur will confront a Minutemen team coming off a 52-30 league win over Liberty (Clarksburg, WV). The Minutemen record now stands at 2-2.

The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Hedgesville beat Berkeley Springs (Berkeley Springs, WV), 61-19, in a non-league battle.
