The Holland Hornets (Holland, TX) basketball felled the host Central Texas Christian Lions (Temple, TX), 42-26 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hornets (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Hearne (Hearne, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A Region IV District 27 test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Hearne thwarted Hubbard (Hubbard, TX), 50-35, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host St. Joseph Catholic for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 19. Central Texas Christian will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 77-24 league loss to O'Connell (Galveston, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
