Coalgate Wildcats (Coalgate, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pittsburg Panthers (Pittsburg, OK), 43-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Coalgate upgrades its record to 1-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Savanna (Savanna, OK) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 1-4. Savanna lost 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against Heavener (Heavener, OK)

Next up, the Panthers play the Haileyville Warriors (Haileyville, OK) in a Pittsburg Eight bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Pittsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 71-50 league loss to Canadian (Canadian, OK).
