Lafayette Christian Academy Knights (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), 59-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lafayette Christian Academy upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Woodlawn-B.R. won 75-63 in their recent non-league bout against Woodlawn-Shreveport (Shreveport, LA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Thibodaux Tigers (Thibodaux, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. East Ascension will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 60-53 non-league loss to St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA).
