Ell-Saline Cardinals (Brookville, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Garden Plain Owls (Garden Plain, KS), 50-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ell-Saline upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Remington (Whitewater, KS) to clash with the Broncos in a Heart of America bout on Friday, January 5. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 4-2.

In their next game, the Owls face the Andale Indians (Andale, KS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, December 19. Garden Plain will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Indians enter the game with a 3-0 record after their 52-28 non-league win over Clearwater (Clearwater, KS).
