    • Texas High School Basketball - George West topples Yorktown

    In Friday's non-league outing, the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX), by a count of 47-29.

    The Longhorns (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against John Paul II (Corpus Christi, TX). The Centurions go into the non-league outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, John Paul II defeated Charlotte (Charlotte, TX), 52-44, in a non-league outing.

    The Wildcats now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Corpus Christi United for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 16. Yorktown will clash with a Watchmen squad coming off a 46-25 non-league loss to McMullen County (Tilden, TX). The Watchmen record now stands at 4-8.
