Providence-St. Mel Knights (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Holy Trinity Tigers (Chicago, IL), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Providence-St. Mel upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Julian (Chicago, IL) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Julian lost 77-55 in their recent non-league bout against Richards (Oak Lawn, IL)

Next up, the Tigers encounter the Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers (Deerfield, IL) in a Chicago Prep test, on Thursday, December 21. Holy Trinity will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record.
