Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA), 70-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Welsh upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to play the Golden Tors in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Golden Tors go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Sulphur won 43-38 in their recent non-league bout against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Delcambre Panthers (Delcambre, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Kaplan will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
