Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears (Laurel, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Plainview Pirates (Plainview, NE), 51-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Bears host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NE) to clash with the Bees in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Bees go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Bloomfield won 53-23 in their recent non-league bout against Osmond/Randolph (Osmond, NE)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Elkhorn Valley Falcons (Tilden, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Plainview will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 61-48 non-league win over Stuart (Stuart, NE).
