Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Greene Spartans (White Hall, IL), 63-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pittsfield upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Saukees travel to Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia won 41-30 in their recent league bout against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Illinois School for the Deaf Tigers (Jacksonville, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley bout, on Monday, December 18. North Greene will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 64-50 non-league loss to Greenview (Greenview, IL).
