The Tri-County Trojans basketball team (Thornburg, IA), was overwhelmed 78-16 in Friday's league battle with the host North Mahaska Warhawks (New Sharon, IA)

The Warhawks now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belle Plaine for a South Iowa Cedar battle on Monday, December 18. North Mahaska will battle a Plainsmen team coming off a 58-48 league win over B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA). The Plainsmen record now stands at 7-1.

The Trojans (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Lone Tree was overwhelmed by Pekin (Packwood, IA), 64-63, in a league battle.
