Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers (Gettysburg, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), 53-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Battlers host Warner (Warner, SD) to play the Monarchs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Monarchs go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Warner won 50-37 in their recent league bout against Aberdeen Christian (Aberdeen, SD)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes (Waverly, SD) in a B Region 1 bout, on Thursday, December 21. Northwestern Area will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
